The ACEA 2016 European Oil Sequences for Service-fill Oils are a set of guidelines for oils used in gasoline and light duty diesel engines, gasoline and diesel engines with after-treatment devices, and heavy duty diesel engines. The sequences define the minimum quality level of a product for presentation to ACEA members, but individual member companies may have more stringent limits. The guidelines cover three sets of sequences: one for gasoline and light duty diesel engines, one for gasoline and diesel engines with after-treatment devices, and one for heavy duty diesel engines. The guidelines were last updated in July 2020 with the addition of the CEC L-107-19 sequence, which replaces the Daimler M271 with new limits.
