The report includes an executive summary, a discussion of the GEM research program, a measurement of social entrepreneurship, an exploration of the concept and measurement of social entrepreneurship in an international context, an analysis of the state of social entrepreneurship across the globe, a comparison of total entrepreneurial activity and social entrepreneurial activity levels, a discussion of the social entrepreneurship spectrum, an examination of social entrepreneur characteristics, a classification of social entrepreneurial activities by industry, an analysis of national conditions for social entrepreneurship, and a conclusion. The report is 30 pages long and includes a methodology appendix.
