The Renewable Readiness Assessment report for the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan was published by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) in February 2021. The report aims to provide guidance to the Jordanian government on how to accelerate the transition to a sustainable energy future and promote the widespread adoption and sustainable use of renewable energy sources such as bioenergy, geothermal, hydropower, ocean, solar, and wind energy. The report was prepared in close collaboration with the Jordanian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources and benefited from the input of various experts. The report provides recommendations on policy, technology, resource, and financial knowledge on renewable energy to support the country's transition to a sustainable energy future.
