Arthur D. Little's global survey on the economic crisis reveals that the majority of executives (84%) expect business to return to pre-crisis levels by the end of 2011. The crisis is seen as a fundamental questioning of the way businesses are run, leading to weaker competitors being cleared out and government playing a more active role. While short-term cost-reduction measures are being taken, many companies are also preparing for the new world beyond the downturn by rethinking their medium-term business strategy.
