The COVID-19 pandemic has caused significant disruptions to supply chains across multiple sectors. Companies are facing challenges in protecting employees, maintaining operational continuity, and addressing the supply chain disruptions. The pandemic has resulted in numerous organizations shutting down plants due to limitations in supplier or transportation capacity, or mandatory lockdowns in many countries. To respond to the immediate crisis and build long-term resilience, organizations need to focus on the first two phases: bringing supply chains back on track at the earliest opportunity and preparing for and executing the recovery. This research note provides insights on how organizations can bring their supply chains back on track, support struggling suppliers and logistics partners, strengthen cash flow management, and prepare for a full restart of operations recovery.
