ISO 10668: Brand Valuation is a standard that provides requirements for monetary brand valuation. It outlines six steps for brand valuation, including defining the brand, determining the purpose of the valuation, selecting the valuation approach and method, and preparing a valuation report. The standard is relevant for marketing professionals and can provide tangible evidence of a brand's value as an intangible asset. The Australian Marketing Institute played a role in promoting the standard and nominated an Australian representative to the ISO Working Party that developed it. The Working Party included representatives from European and non-European nations, and met on seven occasions between March 2007 and August 2011.
