The Atradius Payment Practices Barometer for Spain in October 2018 indicates that the average Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) has increased slightly, while the invoice to cash turn-around has improved. However, the proportion of past due B2B invoices remains stable, with most businesses in Spain reporting late payment over the past 12 months. To manage the impact, suppliers in Spain need to postpone or default on payments to their suppliers, take specific measures to correct cash flow, and pursue additional financing. For 20.3% of suppliers, overdue B2B invoices led to revenue loss. The top export sectors are transportation, machinery/electrical, chemicals, vegetable products, and metals, while the top import sectors are machinery/electrical, transportation, chemicals, mineral products, and textiles. The top export destinations are France, Germany, Portugal, United Kingdom, and Italy, while the top import destinations are Germany, France, China, Italy, and the United States.
