The Atradius Payment Practices Barometer for Austria in October 2018 revealed that 100% of respondents reported domestic payment delays. The survey also found an increase in the proportion of overdue B2B invoices, a longer invoice to cash turnaround, and a higher proportion of uncollectables. Respondents reported that their businesses had been impacted by late payment and had to pursue additional financing, correct cash flow, or postpone their own payments to suppliers. Additionally, 18.9% of respondents reported that past due B2B invoices led to revenue loss. The top export sectors in Austria are machinery/electrical, metals, chemicals, transportation, and wood/wood products, with Germany, USA, Italy, Switzerland, and France being the top export destinations. The top import sectors are machinery/electrical, transportation, chemicals, metals, and miscellaneous, with Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Czech Republic, and the Netherlands being the top import destinations.
