This report proposes an innovative district-level pathway to support carbon neutrality by 2060 through zero-carbon targeted integrated energy planning. The authors, from the Beijing Institute of Architectural Design and RMI, acknowledge the support of various individuals and organizations, including the Energy Foundation China and the Rockefeller Brothers Fund. The report suggests that market-driven solutions are necessary to align with a 1.5°C future and secure a clean, prosperous, zero-carbon future.
