HackingTeam and Gamma International are the creators of "Business-to-Government Malware" according to a report by Kaspersky Lab. The malware is capable of self-replication via USB flash drive, infection of virtual VMware machines, mobile BlackBerry and Windows CE devices, and installation of drivers. It is also able to self-update and has been found on a Moroccan website targeted by government-grade spyware. The malware was distributed through social engineering tactics, such as self-signed JAR files with filenames like FlashUpdate.exe, and exploits, such as CVE-2010.
