Microsoft Corporation has filed a civil action against John Does 1-2 for establishing an Internet-based cyber-theft operation called "Barium." Through Barium, Defendants are stealing sensitive information from Microsoft's customers by breaking into their accounts and computer networks. To manage and direct Barium, Defendants have established and operate a network of websites, domains, and computers on the Internet. Microsoft is seeking damages for the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act, Electronic Communications Privacy Act, Trademark Infringement, False Designation of Origin, and Trademark Dilution.
