This report highlights the importance of effective strategic planning in a volatile business environment. The study reveals that a significant number of strategy leaders believe their plans will need to change after they have been concluded, and a large proportion of business leaders feel that their enterprise fails to achieve its strategic objectives. The report suggests that to turn strategy into action, organizations need to take seven common-sense actions, including focusing on a minimally viable strategy, customizing planning activities for participants, and being clear about ownership and performance measures. The report also provides a one-page template to communicate the strategic plan.
