Thepandemic’s impact has slowly abated as masks come offandtravel resumes.However,healthcare staffing shortages intheindustry remain pressing.The Hong Kong government’sstrongsupport for fundamental healthcare measures to addresstheseneeds is very encouraging.Post-pandemic,increasedcross-boundaryactivities may allow us to expand our integratedcare services to serve more patients. As regional networks becomeever more interconnected, UMP remains committed to furnishingcomprehensive, coordinated care for all. 摘要 HIGHLIGHTS 2023 In fiscal year 2023, I am glad to report UMP’s overall revenue roseyear-over-year, led by our clinical services, aligning with broadereconomic recovery trends. Revenue of our Hong Kong and Macauclinics was impacted in the short-term by strategic investments innew imaging facilities. However, we believe these investments laidthe groundwork for future growth. Despite lockdowns in the firsthalf of the year, our Mainland China business saw significant profitgrowth, with the second half rebounding remarkably in revenue,profit, and patient visits. Our corporate solutions division also sawincreased operating profit. Our balance sheet remained healthy interms of liquidity to support ongoing expansion goals. I commendour team for exhibiting resilience throughout the health care crisis. This year, we formed strategic partnerships with several prestigiousHongKong medical groups and institutions,reinforcing UMP’sleadershipand shared vision to cultivate an enriched healthcareecosystemto serve the public.These collaborations will furnishpatientswith seamless,coordinated and cross-regional care bycombiningour specialized expertise,extensive networks,andinnovative technologies. These partnerships also leverage collectiveresources to elevate service standards and help promote communityhealthcare access. The Board and I believe that these partnershipshelp solidify UMP’s position to achieve our goal of redefining careand population health for the communities we serve.
