The COP26 conference in Glasgow resulted in a number of commitments from the private sector, including over 450 financial institutions pledging to fund the transition to a low-carbon economy and 60 FTSE 100 companies joining the UN's Race to Zero campaign. There was also a deal to halt deforestation by the end of the decade and an agreement among 40 countries to phase out the use of coal. The private sector will play a key role in achieving these ambitions, with businesses ready, willing, and able to deliver a net-zero world.
