It highlights the importance of biodiversity for food security, livelihoods, and ecosystem services. The report draws on information from 91 country reports and concludes with a discussion of the challenges and needs for the future management of biodiversity for food and agriculture. It complements other global assessments under the Commission on Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture.
