Inthepastyear,China’seconomyremainedgenerallystableandmanagedtoachievepositiveeconomicgrowthinthefaceofamorecomplexandsevereinternationalsituationandmultipleunexpectedfactorssuchastheresurgenceofdomesticepidemics.Withthegradualrelaxationofepidemiccontrol,consumerdemandwasgraduallyreleased,investmentdemandgrewsteadilyandtheeconomycontinuedtorecoversteadily. TheGroup’swinebusinesswasseverelyaffectedbyChina’sstrictcontroloftheepidemicinthefirsthalfoftheyearandChina’sfast-changingcommunityimmunitypolicyinthesecondhalfoftheyear.TherevenuefromthewinebusinessfortheYearfellby25.5%toHK$83.7million(2021:HK$112.4million).Duringtheyear,thesalespricepolicywastemporarilychanged,andsalesdiscountswereprovidedtocustomerstoreducemarketingexpenses.Asaresult,thegrossprofitmargindecreased.Aftertryingourbesttoreducelosses,therewasanetlossofapproximatelyHK$3.0millionthisyear(2021:netprofitofHK$9.4million).FortheGroup’sredwinebusiness,thebusinessstrategywillcontinuetostimulatethehigh-endconsumptionaftertheepidemicandeconomicrecoverywiththemodelofclearingtheoldinventoryandintroducingthenewproducts. AmongthetwobusinessesoftheGroupinJeju,SouthKorea,thedevelopmentprojectofGloriousHillhasnotbeenabletostartconstructionduetoprojectfinancingobstacles,andtheoperationoftheentertainmentbusinesshasbeenrestartedattheendof2022.Asitisexpectedthattheglobalepidemicislikelytoceaseinthecomingyear,theGroupwillrespondprudentlyandwilladjustthebusinessstrategyoftheGroup’sKoreanbusinessasappropriate. ） （ TheSydneyOperaResidencesProjectwassubstantiallycompletedwiththedeliveryof89apartmentsonscheduleinDecember2021.In2022,theProjectwillcontinuetodeliver11oftheremaining15residentialapartmentstotheowners.TherelevantrevenueofapproximatelyHK$285.8million2021:HK$2,489.3millionandtherelevantgrossprofitofHK$49.0million(2021:HK$499.6million)havebeenrecognizedinthefinancialresultsfortheYear.
