2022 InterimReport 中期报告 CHARACTERISTICSOFGEMOFTHESTOCKEXCHANGEOFHONGKONGLIMITED(THE“STOCKEXCHANGE”) GEMhasbeenpositionedasamarketdesignedtoaccommodatesmallandmid-sizedcompaniestowhichahigherinvestmentriskmaybeattachedthanothercompanieslistedontheStockExchange.Prospectiveinvestorsshouldbeawareofthepotentialrisksofinvestinginsuchcompaniesandshouldmakethedecisiontoinvestonlyafterdueandcarefulconsideration. GiventhatthecompanieslistedonGEMaregenerallysmallandmid-sizedcompanies,thereisariskthatsecuritiestradedonGEMmaybemoresusceptibletohighmarketvolatilitythansecuritiestradedontheMainBoardoftheStockExchangeandnoassuranceisgiventhattherewillbealiquidmarketinthesecuritiestradedonGEM.
