DuringtheYear,theprincipalactivitiesoftheGrouparegamingoperation(leasingofinvestmentpropertiesequippedwithentertainmentequipmenttothePhilippineAmusementandGamingCorporation(“PAGCOR”)andparticipationinthegamingoperation),hoteloperations,andlivepokereventsoperations. Impactedbythenovelcoronavirus(“COVID-19”)pandemicformorethantwoyearssincetheoutbreak,wesawarecoveryintheGroup’soperationsinthefourthquarterofthefinancialyearascommunityquarantinerequirementswereeasedandborderwasreopenedtointernationalarrivalsinthethirdquarterofthefinancialyear.SupportedbylowCOVID-19casesandrolloutofvaccinationprogramme,wearepleasedtoseemeasuresbeingundertakentopromotethetourismofthePhilippines.CapacityrestrictionongamingsectorhasbeenremovedandfullyvaccinatedforeignersandreturningFilipinosarenolongerrequiredtoundergomandatoryquarantineuponarrival.Wearehopefulthatthegamingandtourismindustrycangraduallyrecoverandnormalizeintheshorttomediumtermiftherearenodisruptionssuchashighinflation,surgeinCOVID-19casesandwar. TheGroup’srevenuefortheYearwasapproximatelyHK$85.5million,representinganincreaseofapproximately31.7%,ascomparedwithapproximatelyHK$64.9millionintheyearended30June2021(the“PreviousYear”).TheGroupreportedagrossprofitofapproximatelyHK$22.0millionfortheyearunderreview,representinganincreaseofapproximately388.9%,ascomparedwithapproximatelyHK$4.5millioninthePreviousYear.Theseimprovementsweremainlyduetotheincreaseinrevenuefromthegroup’sgamingoperationastheperformancestar
