Thespecialismsandstrengthsofparticularuniversitiesarecleartosee.AmongtheUSandnon-USuniversitiesrespectively,theCaliforniaInstituteofTechnologyandtheIndianInstituteofManagementAhmedabadhavethehighestshareofultrawealthyalumniwithself-createdfortunes(at91.7%and 96.2%),anodtotheirfocusonenterprise.TheUniversityofMelbournehasthehighestproportionoffemaleseniorexecutivealumni(40.2%)oftheGlobal19majorindices,whileUniversityofMumbaiseniorexecutivealumniarethefastest tolandtheirfirstC-suiteorboardrole,whichtheyachievein14.9years. Accesstoalargenetworkofprofessionalconnectionscanbeseenasareturnoninvestmentforgraduates.Theaverageseniorexecutivealumofatop20USuniversityhasaccumulated1,280directprofessionalconnections toseniordecision-makers.Graduatesoftheseuniversitieswillbeabletotapintothesehighlyvaluablenetworksoverthecourseoftheircareers.Harvardalumnileadwithanaverage1,537directprofessionalconnections. Oxford’sseniorexecutivealumnihavethehighestnumberofprofessionalconnections,whileHarvard’sultrawealthyalumnihaveaparticularlyhighshareofself-createdfortunes.Whilealumniofthreeoftheworld’smostprestigiouslearninginstitutionssharesimilarities,theuniquecharacteristicsofeachuniversity’ssetofalumnishinethrough.
