The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) conducted a survey in partnership with Grayling to understand the perceptions and priorities of global business travel industry professionals and external stakeholders regarding sustainability in the sector. The results showed that 76% of travel buyers have either already incorporated or are planning to incorporate sustainability objectives in their travel policies. The business travel sector worldwide views addressing climate change as the number one priority, with 74% of respondents prioritizing it, followed by clean energy use (68%) and waste management (88%). The survey also found that 60% of industry respondents have both a sustainability team and a sustainability program in place to address corporate environmental performance. The industry needs to enact credible sustainable business practices to realize the sustainability journey.
