BusinessReviewandManagementDiscussionandAnalysis Duringtheyearended31stMarch2022,theCompanyanditssubsidiaries(togetherthe“Group”)recordedaconsolidatedrevenueofHK$78,218,000(2021:HK$95,588,000),grossprofitofHK$38,573,000(2021:HK$41,047,000)andlossattributabletoownersoftheCompanyofHK$39,232,000(2021:HK$58,249,000). ThecontributionofrevenuesfromtheGroup’schanneloperationssegmentfortheyeardroppedfromapproximatelyHK$56milliontoapproximatelyHK$41million,whichwasmainlyattributabletothecompletionoftheexclusivecontentsupplycontractwithHBOAsiasinceJune2021,andisstillthemajorrevenuegeneratingsegmentoftheGroup. Qualitymediacontentisthekeyforbothtraditionalandnewmediacompaniestocompetewiththeirrivalsforviewershipandrevenue.Themediaindustryisinthestageoftransformingfromtraditionalmediatonewmediaindustry.AlargenumberofviewersaremovingoutfromtraditionalTVservicestojointhefastgrowingOTTservices.TheGrouphaswellpositioneditselfasanimportantcontentproviderofChinesemoviesanddramacontentstocompaniesinboththetraditionalandnewmediaindustriesinthisstage. InHongKong,theGroupissupplyingaChinesemoviechannelwithhundredsofmoviestoTVB’snewmediaplatform,namelymyTVSUPER,aswellasitsOTTAPPinthePRC.InTaiwan,weprovidedaChinesemovie/dramachanneltoviewersthroughthetelecom/OTTplatformofChungHwaTelecomCompanyLimited. 业绩及股息 年内本公司拥有人应占亏损为39,232,000港元（二零二一年：58,249,000港元），董事不建议派发股息（二零二一年：无）。 业务回顾与管理层讨论及分析 于截至二零二二年三月三十一日止年度，本公司及其附属公司（统称“本集团”）录得综合收益78,218,000港元（二零二一年：95,588,000港元）、毛利38,573,000港元 （二零二一年：41,047,000港元）及本公司拥有人应占亏损39,232,000港元（二零二一年：58,249,000港元）。 年内，来自本集团频道业务分部之收益贡献由约56,000,000港元下降至41,000,000 港元，主要由于与HBOAsia订立的独家内容供应合约自二零二一年六月起完成，而此仍为本集团的主要收入分部。 优质媒体内容对传统媒体及新媒体公司而言均为在收视及收益方面与同业竞争之关键。媒体行业现正处于传统媒体转型至新媒体行业之交接阶段。大量观众已由传统电视服务转至快速增长之OTT服务。本集团已准备就绪于此阶段担当传统媒体及新媒体行业之华语电影及电视剧内容之重要供应商。 在香港，本集团通过无线电视的新媒体平台myTVSUPER以及中国的OTT应用程序，为观众提供一条华语电影频道及数以百计电影。在台湾，本集团通过中华电信股份有限公司之电讯╱OTT平台，为观众提供华语电影╱连续剧频道。 4MEIAHENTERTAINMENTGROUPLIMITED美亚娱乐信息集团有限公司 CHAIRMAN’SSTATEMENT 主席报告 ThemediaindustrywasfacingtremendouschallengeduetoCoronavirusDisease2019(“COVID-19”)andtheindustrytransformationduringtheyear.Traditionalmediacompanieswerelosingtheirviewershipandrevenueswhilethecompanieswithnewmediabusinesswerestillintheinvestmentstagesufferingfromheavyspendingoncontentacquisitionandboostingviewership.Despitethis,ourmediabusinessesinHKandTaiwanremainedstableintermsofbothviewershipandrevenuesduringtheyear.Weofferedchannelsaswellasondemandservicesinthesetwomarkets.Viewersc
