FOREWORD ItiswithgreatpleasurethatIextendmyutmostgreetingsasweproudlyunveiltheEnergyEfficiencyBestPracticeAwards2023report.AttheASEANCentreforEnergy(ACE),wetakegreatprideinnurturingtheprivatesector'sdedicationtotheadvance-mentofenergyefficiencyintheASEANregion,andthisannualreportstandsasatestamenttotheremarkablestridesachievedinthisfield. Thecurrenttransformativechangesintheenergylandscapeunderscoretheurgentneedtoenhanceenergyefficiency,makingourcollectiveeffortsmorecrucialthanever.ASEANsetsatargettoachieve32%energyintensityreductiontargetby2025,against2005level.However,only24.5%wasachievedin2021. TheEnergyEfficiencyBestPracticeAwardsnotonlyserveasadistinguishedplatformtoacknowledgeandcelebrateoutstandinginitiativesthatexemplifytheregion'sunwaveringcommitmenttosustainableenergypractices.Throughthecontentsofthisreport,ouraimisalsotodisseminateinvaluableinsights,innovativestrategies,andsuccessstoriestoinspireandpropelfurtheradvancementsinenergyefficiencyacrosstheASEANregion.
