Withthefirmbeliefinthepowerofpersistencewhenfacingvariousinternalandexternalchallenges,wepersistedinthedevelopmentstrategyof“coretechnologies+coredevices+applicationscenarios”inthepathoftransformation.The“fundamentalbusinesses”,includingthecinemaanddedicateddisplay,andthe“growthbusinesses”,includingtheautomotivebusiness,arehighlycomplementarytoeachotherinbuildingacombinationof“aggressiveanddefensive”fortfortheCompany,whichcreatedaverystablebusinessstructureforAppotronics.Despitetheobjectivehugegrowthpotentialoftheautomotivebusiness,therewillbeastageofintensecompetitionpriortothematurityoftheautomotivebusiness.Undersuchcircumstance,thecinemaanddedicateddisplaybusinessesstoodoutbythevaluetheycreated.Moreimportantly,withoutreducingoureffortsforexistingbusinesses,wehavebeendevelopingnewgrowthpolesformaturebusinessestogreatlyimprovethespeedandstrengthofmakingbreakthroughsingrowthbusinesses. In2023,weachievedasubstantivebreakthroughintheautomotivebusiness.“AITOM9”,asHuawei’ssmartflagshipSUVandthefirstnominatedautomobilemodelforus,hasbeenofficiallyimplemented.BesidesAITOM9,thereareanother5nominatedautomobilemodelsnotreleased,whichwillalsocontributetotheperformanceoftheCompanyinthefuture.Thebreakthroughintheautomotiveopticsbusinessisoffar-reachingsignificance.Astheautomotiveindustryisexperiencinghistoricalandstructuralchanges,wearebothaparticipantandabeneficiaryasalinkintheautomotiveindustrychain.ThiswillhaveactiveandprofoundeffectsonthedevelopmentofthefundamentalsoftheCompanyandthefuturegrowthofperformance. In2023,weachievedhigh-qualitydevelopmentofthecinemaprojectorbusinesstobuilditintoacornerstoneofbusinessgrowth.AsofDecember31,2023,theinstallationsoftheAPLD®laserprojectionsolutionexceeded29,500setsinChina.Thenewgenerationof activeprojectiontechnology-VLEDLEDCinemaprojectionsolution-releasedbyCINEAPPO,asubsidiaryofAppotronics,hasbeensuccessfullyimplementedincinemasinmultipleprovincesandcities,whichwilldevelopintoanewpointofprofitgrowthforthecinemabusinessinthefuture. Wefollowthestrategyofdevelopingfundamentalbusinessesandgrowthbusinessessidebysidewithafocusonimprovingoperatingquality.Meanwhile,westrivetoseizetheopportunityoftransformingasmallracetrackintoabigmarkettocontinuouslyexpandourstrategicadvantagesandachievementsinthefieldofautomotiveoptics.ThankstothehistoricalopportunityoftheemergingandrapidlyrisingnewracetrackfornewenergyvehiclesinChina,wetakeactivemeasurestoacquiretheblueoceanmarketofautomotiveopticsandsmartcockpits,andworkwithdomesticandoverseasleadingautomobilemanufacturerstocreatecompletelynewdrivingandridingexperienceforconsumersbythe“Shenzhenacceleration”intheracetrackofautomotiveoptics. Inthecomingyears,wewillstrivetobuildasmartsupplychain,transforminga“smallworkshop”intonovel“smartmanufacturing”.Wewillmovetoanewproductionbase,whichmeansabrandnewstarttosolidifythefoundationsincludingresearchanddevelopment,supplychain,andplatformcapabilities. Inaddition,wewillcontinuouslypromotetheintegrationoflaserdisplaytechnologieswithnewtechnologiestoexpandtoartificialintelligence(AI),augmentedreality(AR),androbotfields.Giventherapiddevelopmentandenhancementofeachother,thesethreetypesoftechnologiesaregraduallybecominganewdirectionforapplicationdevelopmentinthelaserdisplayindustry. Toachievethisobjective,wewillcontinuouslystrengthenourcapabilitiesofengineeringandsmartmanufacturing,improvethequalitysystem,striveforanin-depthcombinationofR&Dandthesupplychain,andcreateasmartmanufacturingsystemintheopticsfieldwithconcreteefforts.WewillinsistontheadjustmentandinnovationoftheR&Dorganizationtomakeitmoreresilientandprofound,toaccelerateproductdevelopment,andtodeepenthepatentmoatwhilebuildingamoreextensiveandinclusiveecology.
