ABOUTTHEPRESENTERS DrLesleyOnyonisHeadoftheChemicalsSafetyandHealthTeamattheWorldHealthOrganization(WHO)basedinGeneva,Switzerland. DrOnyonhasmorethan25yearsofexperienceinfieldsrelatingtochemicalsmanagement,poisoninformationandoccupationalandenvironmentalhealthatbothgovernmental(UKandAustralia)andintergovernmentallevels(OECD,UNEPandWHO).HercurrentrolesupportsWHOactivitiesrelatingtopoisoncentres,chemicals-relatedaspectsofemergencypreparednessandresponseaswellasnormativeworkonthepreventionandmanagementofhumanexposuretoheavymetals,particularlyleadandmercury. MrRamCharitraSahistheExecutiveDirectorandanEnvironmentScientistattheCenterforPublicHealthandEnvironmentalDevelopment(CEPHED)inNepal.
