The McKinsey Global Institute (MGI) is a research arm of McKinsey & Company that aims to provide insights on the global economy. MGI's research covers a range of topics, including productivity and growth, natural resources, labor markets, global financial markets, technology and innovation, and urbanization. The organization has published numerous reports on these topics, including assessments of the digital economy, the impact of AI and automation on employment, income inequality, and the productivity puzzle. MGI is led by three senior partners and a team of partners and senior fellows.
