The McKinsey Global Institute (MGI) is a research arm of McKinsey & Company that aims to provide insights on the global economy to leaders in various sectors. MGI's research combines economics and management, using a "micro-to-macro" methodology to examine industry trends and understand the broader macroeconomic forces affecting business strategy and public policy. The current research focuses on six themes: productivity and growth, natural resources, labor markets, global financial markets, technology and innovation, and urbanization. MGI is led by three senior partners and a group of partners and senior fellows.
