The McKinsey Global Institute (MGI) is a research arm of McKinsey & Company that aims to provide insights into global economic trends and forces. Its research combines economics and management, using a "micro-to-macro" methodology to examine industry trends and their impact on business strategy and public policy. MGI's recent reports have focused on six themes: productivity and growth, natural resources, labor markets, financial markets, technology and innovation, and urbanization. The institute is led by three senior partners and a group of partners and senior fellows.
