PROFITGROWTHFORSEVENCONSECUTIVEYEARSSINCELISTING Theyear2023markedtheresumptionofnormaleconomicactivitiesinbothMainlandChinaandHongKongfollowingtheupliftofrestrictionsagainstpandemics.Althoughtherewerestronghopesforeconomicrecoveryatthebeginningoftheyear,economicactivitiesgraduallyweakened,theeconomicoutlookbecameincreasinglyuncertain,andconsumersentimenttendedtodecline.Againstthisbackdrop,theGrouphascontributedtopeople’shealthandsocietybyprovidingthepleasureofeatingandtasteoffoodtopeople,inlinewithourfounder,Mr.MomofukuAndo’scorporatephilosophythat“food-relatedjobisasacredprofession(食为圣职)”. KIYOTAKAANDO 安藤清隆 CHAIRMAN董事长 各位股东: 本人谨此代表日清食品有限公司(“本公司”)董事会(“董事会”)欣然呈报本公司连同其附属公司(“本集团”)截至2023年12月31日止年度之年报。 溢利自上市以来连续七年攀升 中国内地及香港于2023年解除防疫限制后恢愎经济活动。年初虽然对经济复苏充满强烈希望,惟经济活动逐渐减弱,经济前景日渐不明朗,消费意欲趋向下跌。在此情况下,正如我们的创始人安藤百福先生所提倡的“食为圣职”企业理念,本集团透过提供令人享受及品尝美食的乐趣,为人们的健康及社会作出贡献。 ANNUALREPORT2023 二零二三年年报05 CHAIRMAN’SSTATEMENT董事长报告 TheGroup’srevenuedecreasedby5.8%year-on-yearduetoadeclineinconsumptionsentimentininstantnoodles,theabsenceofextrademandforbag-typenoodlescausedbythepandemicinHongKong,andtheeffectofthedepreciationoftheRenminbiincurrencytranslation.Ontheotherhand,operatingprofitincreasedby2.2%year-on-year,andtheoperatingprofitmarginimprovedby0.9%pointsyear-on-yearto11.4%duetolowerrawmaterialpricesandlowerselling,generalandadministration(SG&A)expensessuchasdistributioncostsandsalespromotioncosts.NetprofitattributabletoownersoftheCompanyincreasedby5.6%mainlyduetotheacquisitionofminorityinterestsinZhuhaiGoldenCoastWinnerFoodProductsLimitedandtheconsolidationofNissinFoodVietnamCo.,Ltd(“NissinVietnam”).Netprofitmarginimprovedby0.9%pointsyear-on-yearto8.6%.TheGrouphasgrownprofitablyfortheseventhconsecutiveyearsincelisting.(Note:DuetotheacquisitionofNissinVietnam,thefinancialfiguresforFY2022havebeenrestated,accordingtoHongKongAccountingGuideline,foryear-on-yearcomparisons).
