The case studies conducted by Common Sense Research with support from the Thrive Foundation for Youth explore media use among lower-income minority youth and parents. The studies focus on connection and control, and provide insights into how media use affects young people's lives. The studies include interviews with several young people, including Carla and Jaden, Andre, Makayla, Gabe and Samuel, Markus, Jayla, Jasmine, Chris, and Zara. The studies highlight the importance of media literacy and provide recommendations for parents and educators to support positive media habits.
