This report, conducted by Global Entrepreneurship Monitor Nederland, explores entrepreneurship in the Netherlands in 2021. The report was funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate. The report is divided into four sections: introduction, potential entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial intentions, entrepreneurship in 2021, and the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Netherlands. The report finds that early-stage entrepreneurial activity in the Netherlands was stable in 2021, with established entrepreneurs also showing growth. However, the report also notes that there is room for improvement in the ecosystem, particularly in terms of promoting entrepreneurship for women.
