This report, published by the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), examines the potential for global hydrogen trade to help meet the 1.5°C climate goal. Part II of the report focuses on the technology review of hydrogen carriers. The report was prepared by the IRENA Innovation and Technology Centre (IITC) and authored by Herib Blanco. It benefited from input and review from various experts in the field, including Kevin Rouwenhorst, Ed Frank, Umberto Cardella, Aparajit Pandey, Andreas Wagner, Markus Albuscheit, Andreas Lehmann, Ralf Ott, Ilkka Hannula, Emanuele Bianco, Barbara Jinks, Paul Komor, and Emanuele Taibi.
