IT Value is crucial for the long-term success of businesses, with 74% of respondents seeing IT as an important factor. However, only 20% of companies surveyed see their contribution to IT value exceeding the industry standard. IT should focus on supporting strategic business objectives, customer interaction, and effective support of existing business processes. Despite this, IT Value is not tangible enough, leading to a discrepancy in understanding its true value. To improve IT Value, companies need to actively steer the value creation process and better understand what "IT value" means to their business.
