The survey by GEP and Handfield, conducted across North America and Europe, aimed to understand how procurement and supply chain leaders are balancing the challenges of controlling costs, building resilience, and advancing sustainability and social value. The survey found that while sustainability is becoming increasingly important, it is often not prioritized due to the complex task of balancing different challenges. However, improving organizational and supply chain sustainability is essential, as it is an existential imperative for businesses today. To achieve this, procurement and supply chain leaders need to focus on building resilience while advancing sustainability and social value.
