Taiwan's average payment duration increased in 2018, the second highest in the region. This was due to changes in average payment terms and delays, with 70.9% of respondents reporting negative effects from overdue invoices. B2B receivables are often written off as uncollectable due to insufficient availability of funds and the age of the debt. Convenience is a top reason for selling on credit, with an average of 42.7% of total B2B sales on credit in Taiwan decreasing by almost four percentage points in 2018.
