The Atradius Payment Practices Barometer for October 2018 shows an increase in late payment by B2B customers in France, from 86.0% in 2017 to 88.6% this year. The average delay in days for domestic B2B customers increased from five days to 29 days, and for foreign B2B customers from seven days to 33 days. This resulted in a steep increase in payment duration, with French suppliers needing an average of 65 days to convert B2B invoices into cash, 16 days longer than in 2017. The top five export sectors in France are transportation, machinery/electrical, chemicals, foodstuff, and metals, with Germany, the US, Belgium/Luxembourg, Italy, and the UK being the top five import sectors. The GDP of France is €2,347.94 billion, with a GDP growth rate of 1.6% in 2018, and an export annual growth rate of 3.7%.
