The Economist Intelligence Unit's assessment of health system preparedness for multiple chronic conditions (MCC) in 25 countries has been published. The Index of Health System Preparedness measures the readiness of healthcare systems for managing MCC and identifies opportunities for improvement. The Index is based on a scorecard framework and includes both quantitative and qualitative indicators. The report also includes case studies of best practices in dealing with the MCC challenge in Brazil, China, Spain, the UK, and the US.
