This report explores the role of accountancy practitioners in managing foreign exchange exposures of SME clients. The study was conducted by ACCA and the Edinburgh Group, and insights were provided by Kantox Peer FX. The report found that many small and medium-sized accountancy practices (SMPs) are not fully equipped to manage foreign exchange risks for their clients. The report suggests that the accountancy profession could improve its offering to small businesses by providing more education and training on foreign exchange risk management. The report also highlights the importance of collaboration between accountants and financial advisors to effectively manage foreign exchange risks.
