The report, "Risk and the strategic role of leadership," is a study of board oversight of risk management. The study was conducted through in-depth interviews with executive and non-executive directors and highlights good practices as well as challenges faced by leaders. The report is based on the core values of opportunity, diversity, innovation, integrity, and accountability held by ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). The study aims to provide insights into the current practice of board oversight of risk management and to consider ways forward. The report is authored by Dr. Simon Ashby of the University of Plymouth, Dr. Cormac Bryce of the University of Nottingham, and Dr. Patrick Ring of Glasgow Caledonian University.
