The Rooftop Solar PV Country Comparison study by CAN Europe and its member organizations examines the policies and practices of eleven European countries in regards to residential rooftop solar PV. The study scores each country in six key areas, including governance, incentives and support schemes, and permit procedures. The country profiles show that while some countries are better performing than others, there are still significant barriers at the national level that impede a higher uptake of residential rooftop solar PV. The study recommends the need for a better regulatory framework and enabling environment in many Member States.
