In terms of China's domestic politics, respondents expect a focus on technological self-reliance and socio-economic stability. There is also a consensus that Xi Jinping will continue to strengthen his grip on power, with 81% of respondents selecting this option. Finally, tensions with Taiwan were seen as the biggest challenge for the Chinese Communist Party's leadership in 2021, with 60% of respondents selecting this option.
