The British Council's Global Cultural Networks research report assesses the value and impact of the organization's arts showcasing work since 2013. The study was conducted through four objectives: developing criteria for assessing the value of the British Council's arts showcasing work, comparing the British Council's approach to other cultural relations organizations, exploring the contribution of the British Council's arts showcasing to UK soft power and cultural relations, and providing recommendations for future development. The research was based on a document review, a survey of 103 participants, and interviews with strategic stakeholders. The findings suggest that the British Council's arts showcasing has significant economic, artistic, and networking value, and contributes to UK soft power and cultural relations. Recommendations include enhancing the targeting and evaluation of showcasing activities, and exploring new ways to collaborate with other cultural relations organizations.
